$27,500 In Judgments Against Aaron’s for Bed Bug

August 25, 2013–On August 8, 2013 the United States District Court for the Northern District of Maryland entered $27,500 in judgments against WGC, LLC, the entity doing business as Aaron’s Sales and Lease Ownership (“Aarons”) in Fruitland, Maryland. Aarons admitted to liability and damages for selling a bed bug infested bedroom furniture set to our client, a single mother, which she had bought for her minor daughter. The daughter suffered weeks of unexplained bites and rash until the bed bugs were discovered in the items purchased from Aaron’s. The infestation spread throughout the house which resulted in other members of the household being bitten.
